I believe time travel do exist but only on a straight forward to future . If you could travel around the world in speed of light for about 1 year. You break the space time fabric and jump to the future. I'm sure of that, the only question is traveling back to the past is quite skeptical. Everything here in the world is part of the future-based space time fabric, in other words everything moves only to the future and no phenomenon yet that show that a certain thing gets back into past.
Everything is on a straight forward motion. Every process here in this world starts with the "BEGINNING and end in ENDS which is death or disappearance of existence but no process yet that begin with the END and restart again".
The proof of that is no such thing will happen again on the exact time and space fabric. In short, no fabric of past exist but rather only a part of mind's fabric of the past.

No Wait! So are these theories based on actual scientific facts, or just speculation and statistics? Especially Theory 6 & 7 sound more like something out of Star Trek.

i saw a documentary on black holes and it says travelling at speed of light for 10yrs means 500yrs on earth. so who is right?

Since almost every test on the theory of relativity has shown evidence of it, maybe that is the key to time travel. Instead of going faster than the speed of light we need to go to an area in space that has a strong effect on gravity. I also have a different theory that can connected to the theory of relativity.
Imagine two time lines. One is realative, one is not. The relative time stream is the time stream we understand now. However, we still age normally as we go around time(this had nothing to do with the other time stream I am talking about). Imagine a time stream that is continuous no matter where we go in time or space. This is the second time stream. This time stream cannot be altered. Once you go back in time it is always that time stream for you. Once you are traveling in time because of the fourth dimension, that time stream now applies to you. This means that everything you do in the past will influence the future you know, but not you. This is why we have not seen any time travelers yet. In universal time no one has yet to go back in time. It is basically changing events like you would just in the present. This may sound like I am just thinking about this without any evidence or any mathematics, but I can't explain everything in a youtube comment. I have to make more calculations and fix any error and paradoxes this has.

I used to want to go back in time but if u go back or if I go back I mean then we,I,u,or whoever goes back would change something and then we could all die or something I can't really explain it cuz I'm a kid.

there is no such thing as time travel other than traveling through time in a forward direction. anyone who knows anything already knows this.

Don't get me wrong… some things are OK, like the first one: the Many-worlds interpretation (MWI) a.k.a. Everett interpretation of quantum mechanics. The problem is that your interpretation of this is wrong. I know, I know, it is not yours, you are actually quoting David Deutsch (or a Wikipedia page that quoted him). But the MWI is just an "interpretation" and one of the key principles of Quantum Mechanics is that every interpretation of it is equivalent. Besides, all the interpretations are just human opinions about the origin of the effects and not a theory by itself. The difference being that science should not rely on opinions. This is why Quantum Mechanics abides of an specific interpretation. In actuality, other authors argue that the MWI implies exactly the opposite: going back in time would be impossible because of Entropy. So, as I said, these are just opinions… mind games of "what if" and not real theories.

That is exactly the problem with other things in the video: speculation and confirmed theories are showed in the same bag. Besides, your references are just media articles and they suck on explaining things, every single time.

So, if you guys don't mind, I will make some comments about each one and in the future, please, invite a physicist before making a new video. Most of us carry no transmittable diseases 😉 It took me some time to write this and I am trying to be constructive here, so I hope it helps more than damages, ok?

Theory 10 - The MWI: As I said earlier, it is not a theory, it is an interpretation of a theory (that being Quantum Mechanics). At the same time there is as much evidence in favor of it as against it… none! But, as a mind exercise, it might work in favor of time travel but also against it, depending on how you use it (that is not a desirable quality for a theory).

Theory 9 - Time dilation: Despite being called a theory, Relativity is a fact of life. In particular, time dilation is so present in hour everyday life that your Google Maps would take you off road every single time, if it wasn't taken in account for the high speed gps satellite orbiting the planet. The number presented is surprisingly correct: 1 year for a traveler at 99.999% the speed of light would be 223 years, 7 months and 8 days, more or less. For the traveler, that is a one-way ticket to the future! No complains here.

Theory 8 - Faster than light travel: Well… when you start saying that "the only way you can go back in time is by traveling faster than the speed of light", the whole video becomes pointless, right? I guess what you meant was "you could go back in time IF you were able to go faster than the speed of light". Which is impossible because… "it requires an infinity amount of energy". Not quite. An infinite amount of energy would be required just to achieve light speed. It is not possible to surpass it with regular acceleration, period. Unless, you don't use regular acceleration and instead employ a Alcubierre Drive (a.k.a. Warp Drive). This is a true theory of faster than light (FTL) travel and, as you mentioned, would allow someone to go to the past!

Theory 7 - Tipler Cylinder: Ok, the affirmation is plain wrong: "An infinitely-long, rotating tunnel, which is 10x the sun's mass, exists within space-time". The word "exists" is too strong here. Besides, it is not a tunnel at all. The construction described is a solution of Einstein's equations that describes a rotating cylinder that would drag space-time around it. With the right direction and speed, a traveler circumnavigating the cylinder would arrive before leaving! (note: circumnavigating is different from going through it). The catch is: it only works with a cylinder of infinite length. And, as it occurs with everything infinite, it doesn't 😉 This is actually part of the General Relativity theory, not a theory by itself, but this is just semantics.

Theory 6 - Doughnut Vacuum: This one is really awesome!!! Again, a mathematical solution to Einstein's equations. I just want to link the original paper here:

Theory 5 - Wormholes: "these spacetime tunnels are so small"… again, the to be verb is too strong. We never observed a wormhole and therefore the could be the size of a galaxy! Who can say it?

Theory 4 - Black holes: Ok, here is where things go south. You say "Black Holes are so dense that even time is slowed down by its gravitational pull". So, is Earth a Black Hole? Because GPS signal also needs to be corrected for the effect of slower time here, at the surface, in comparison with the satellites in orbit. All mass and energy slow down time. And the second part makes no sense: "If a spaceship orbited a Black Hole, the crew would experience half the time of people elsewhere". Look… at the center of our own galaxy lives a monster Black Hole. The Sun is orbiting it and carrying us for the ride. So the time we experience is half of who's? Actually, if the Sun were to be replaced by a Black Hole with the same mass, all the planets would orbit it exactly the same, with the same amount of time dilation we already experience. I guess what you meant was that by traveling near enough a Black hole for a while, the time dilation would be like on Theory 9, except here you found no number to quote. If that is the case, then it is correct.

Theory 3 - Quantum Tunneling: OK, just for the irony of it, I am writing this as a full classroom of students are taking a test about quantum tunneling 😛 (some might be cheating since I have my focus here, and not at them). So believe me when I say that this is completely wrong. Quantum tunneling is a real phenomenon, extensively used in technology nowadays, but it always happens in a causal way. This means no faster than light travel for you sir. No exceptions.

Theory 2 - Cosmic Strings: Another one of Einstein's equations solutions. This one is just weird and to be honest you said nothing wrong about it… wait, except you called "cracks in the universe" and actually used the word "discovered". The first one is just an odd expression but since a cosmic string is really hard to describe, it is not that harmful. But the "discovered" part is false. Cosmic Strings lives only in the realm of paper and pencil right now and no evidence of it has been observed yet.

Theory 1 - The "God Particle": This one deserves a WTF… IF we could "turn off" the Higgs field, what happens is that every single particle would become massless, like the photon of light. So, everybody traveling at the speed of light, infinite time dilation, and time stops existing to everyone and everything. So why bother with time travel now?

Wormholes are not shortcuts in time but in space, they are just portals : if you enter in one, you go out by the other side, and nothing more. And like for black holes, nothing prove the existence of wormholes.
Everything have an influence on gravity and time, not only black holes (if they exist).
Time is not absolute (time is not like in Back To The Futur) : this is only sci-fi. You can't go back in the past or go in the future. "Time travel" is, shall we say, making a difference between your time with the rest of the Universe, which means that if you "travel in time", your time will just slow down, while the rest will continue at its speed, so, you'll may be, fo instence, be one day older, but one year later.

Personally i'd go back to the greeks and try to make them invest some effort into technology, they had a great society with great science and mathematics, they even had steam engine, as a toy of course since they didn't care about technology :(
