Shane’s blistering 124 runs not out against India was not enough to prevent India from winning the match on Sunday, finishing the Twenty20 series.
He will now travel to Auckland, New Zealand to play in a one-day series which starts on Wednesday.
The cricketer has been playing for the Australian cricket team since 2005 and made his test debut for Australia at the SCG against Pakistan in 2005.
Last year he announced his retirement from Test cricket after a poor run of form that had already seen him dropped from the Australian side.
He was left out of the Australia team for the second Ashes Test against England in July and was replaced by Mitchell Marsh.
