Tech is so hot these days, it’s getting inside people’s pants.
We’ve already reported the wearable tech bra back at CES and now geek chic is coming to panties near you thanks to this new brand from Portugal. Called Maison Pixel, the new brand of underwear puts pixelated computer graphics into very wearable and chic panties.
The brainchild of designers Cesaria & Sebastiao from Lisbon, Portugal, the pixel panties are what the brand calls the “world’s first 8-bit underwear.”
“They’re designed for people like us who love retro games and 8-bit visuals but couldn’t find a way to make them fashionable and sexy,” they say. “These panties make that possible.”
Launched on Indiegogo in July of 2014, the brand far surpassed its goal of $12,500 by almost double. Touted as underwear “made with squares, fit for round bottoms,” each goes for $19.99 at PixelPanties.com.
The brand says that they also want to create conversations around the treatment of women and are donating a dollar for each of their sales to the Malala Fund.
